Acceptable Living - 2 ©
Life seems to toss cheap shots at us some times but I think that we are so caught up in our own little world and our stresses it is not a cheap shot but a door that we let get cracked open. We can not blame another for what we are going through when it is our situation that is coming at us. It is not the gas company's fault that we have no heat. It is not the grocery store's fault that we do not have a loaf of bread. Fault can not be laid to blame on others when we are in control of our environment and our surroundings. We fault too many people and things, visible or not, when all we have to do is change. Change is not easy, nor is it something everyone can do overnight yet it can be done and should be written out so as to get a better picture of where we need to make changes and to track our progress. I know many of you who read this are probably throwing stones and words around and I sorta expected that. Someone once told me that "until you get angry change usually does not happen!" While I am not talking about anger that does dumb things but rather, an emotion that moves you to making changes for your betterment. We have far too long looked to the government, world, and others and when we can no longer get any help or less than that what had been getting get upset and put the blame on that instead of seeing what we can do to, on our own, to make the necessary changes. Life is not set in stone nor is it cut and dried, when we can gain the upper hand by making positive decisions and move on them. Complaining and worrying take more energy from you draining you till you feel depressed and hopeless. Positive changes are not always done in a moment or suddenly, each take time and determination. I will take it one step further, you need a mentor or support group that will help, encourage, listen, and keep you feet on solid ground. Being with people who have nothing good to say, always joking, talking more than listening, each thing is more negative and corrosive, leaving you feeling like a balloon that has just been popped. Life has so much to offer, unlimited and hopeful to say the least. To make any change, you have to want them! If you do not want them, you can not take another step into getting out or away from what it is that is hurting or limiting you. If for example, you can not afford to purchase clothes, learn to sew and make your own clothes. Take your focus off of what you do not have and what a change like this will have on your life and financial position. If you got good enough in making your own clothes you could sew for others or do alteration, banners, and more. Think of each situation as a way to not only improve your current living arrangements, better them or even make a pathway for an opportunity. Do not stay in your current place in life, look at the bright side of things and see if I do something different will it help me or hinder? Going up moves you forward, staying where you are at leads to more than just worry, stress and late payments. Your open door is only one step forward, will you choose to take it, no matter what your circumstances and brain tell you?

What exactly is it that you and I are put here on this earth to do? I know this question has been asked for many years and each person has somewhat of a different answer but, the reason it is futile to think on too hard or it may lead to depression, agony, laziness, and for some just giving up altogether. It has come to my attention that it is not the question that has bothered the masses but the act of doing it, as many deem this as too strict to put into words or the act is too painful to consider at the moment. This reminds me of how we go to college and can not find a major that suits us or we just settle for one and graduate feeling miserable about the choice we made and never put the degree to use and end up working below our means, bouncing from job to job teetering on the brink of depression as the person eeks out a living. We settle or accept what life has dealt us or is put before us and we go through life never going above the standards that society has set for us. We are ruled by laws, government, and people and each has their own directives that they set for each person to follow. I am not saying these are wrong but, who is to say that mankind was meant to fit a mold or a restriction of sorts just to "fit in" or fit the norm? Not everyone is going to be able to be a tech nerd, fly a commercial jet, play an instrument. Each person has something that they can contribute to their livelihood and to society and maybe it is not how the masses have it laid out for them to get there that will work for them. Today's society is fast paced with a quantity mode put at the forefront with most not wired to be able to keep up with the hectic pace no matter how much they are trained or schooled. Dumb they are not, and those who see them as such really need to take a closer look at the callousness of their heart. Stop calling names, pointing fingers, and thinking that they are useless and need to be banished from society as a whole. While you are making it big they are eeking out their existence on substandard living they are humbling themselves to get assistance or help with food and you still want to judge and mock. It would be nice if like the slow food movement there was a slower paced atmosphere, where fitting in was banned and mocking, was outlawed. Acceptable living is not acceptable, it is barbaric and ridiculous! Stop trying to fit everyone and everything into one mold and if that does not work you are a moron! Could the problem be that mankind has lost what the ability to see the facts and not want to correct them or even face the facts that we are not a cookie cutter society and we do not have to be? There has to be a line drawn somewhere that says enough is enough before we ruin the human race altogether and we keep segregating ourselves from people who are deemed not acceptable. You can not keep dividing the masses before too long you will have a society that gives up on believing in anyone or anything and not being all they can be. Fixing you and you alone is where to start first removing all your stereotypes, judgements, hatred, anger, preconceived thoughts, and acceptable brainwashings. If the ends are to meet then try to find out why they are not outside of what you have been taught or learned and maybe, just maybe we can fix this. Or have we already went past the breaking point? I pray not!

"Acceptable Agriculture" ©
You may have never heard these two words together and there may not be anyone out there who has coined this to you. I am here to coin this and let you know what exactly is this new thought! This word agriculture covers many areas and may seem a bit vague or it may be crystal clear. For years now a factor has always remained and that is the ability to choose or to do what has put forth years ago as freedom, which gave us the right or freedom to make choices that we saw fit for ourselves our families. Some had more than others while others had less and that was fine for each and everyone. No one complained, no one hoarded or even held back from those who had a need. You were glad to help as much had been given back to you for your efforts. Families had a different mindset and attitude on taking care of theirs and those around them. No one was ever penalized or held accountable for their acts of kindness and concern. No one ever thought that any harm was being done for being generous towards their fellow man, nor was the very act of what they were doing was seen as tyranny or radical, it was a way of life and no one was breaking any rules. Fast forward to today and you will see a much different society and mindset. One where our acts of kindness or even the act of doing something for yourself is considered a crime and punishable by the letter of the law. There was no terms or conditions to be met, no books to read or even legislation that had to be met or you are in default of their agreements. Everything must fall within the 'acceptable' area or you will be fighting against those who ban such actions or find such actions tyranny or worse, condemn all actions altogether. We must fit into these black lettered laws which are narrow in their wording, far-reaching in their action, and burdensome to those who try to follow them. The straw that broke the camels' back took place years ago and no one really has had the presence of mind to walk into congress with a bill better than theirs to keep these freedoms and so, many are taking their freedoms back by moving into an area known as 'guerrilla.' Sounds awful to some, profound to others and another group sees this has a hostile way to go about what has been lost over the years. I guess they figure that it will not do any good to appeal to congress or the senate and get something on the docket so they protest in a visual format for all to see. I am tired of acceptable anything where I have to leave what God gave to mankind and abide by a law set by man. since when has it ever been illegal to catch rainwater and use it for the purpose of drinking or watering your plants? Outrageous right? Right! So it has to be acceptable for us to be within the confines of the law or we face criminal charges and fines. I can see if you had done something to harm another person, their livelihood or harm the planet then this would be an act to bring the law to the forefront. Acceptable has to be changed into a hindrance and not good for the human race and let the what our forefathers called normal to be brought back into play. It can be done and must be before we are over run with acceptable and there is nothing left but acceptance. If you want that I feel sorry for you but if you want to change I stand with you. The more of us that move away from acceptable the less that will be there to keep those hindrances going. More to come on this thought, so keep it tuned right here and tell others as well.

Who? Me?
I sat here, all day, thinking about who and but, got in the way and made a mess out of things.
So, I had to begin again, where I left off and still who was not found. Then, tried to dawn upon me, as if it was a moment of genius. I went to think about who again and all of the sudden, what tried to make me aware of something, when, wanted to act all cute and inch into the thought. Why, tried to stir up confusion and where wanted to run me around in circles. After all of this, who still was not found, in my thoughts! If, showed up with some negative words, because wanted recognition, from, was a waste of time and all I wanted to do was find who. I never had so much difficulty in finding who, as this had really been a challenge. Then, came back and reminded me with a light rap to the head that, the who I was looking for was me. Me, had not said a word through the whole train of thought and even if me had, the train, to which I speak of, had went from moving at a good rate of speed, to a nearly dead stop, barely inching its way down the tracks. See, wanted me to find a good line of sight, so nothing would block my vision. I had been looking but, not from the standpoint that I needed to be. The answer to my query would not be found outside of the eyes of anyone but, you guessed it, me! I, would bring about change, I would bring about direction, me would bring about all that needed to be, the who is me, you see.
